The Rev. Paul Anthony Daniels of St. Mary’s Church in Palms knows the names and stories of the people who sleep in their cars near the church. He is considering building affordable housing on the church property to provide a place for people to sleep, bathe, and cook, which he believes can bring dignity and help turn lives around for both individuals and the neighborhood.
