SINGAPORE: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has granted the Lion City Sailors provisional approval to host the upcoming AFC Champions League Two final at Bishan Stadium, pending final inspection in early May. The Sailors, who recently became the first Singaporean team to reach a continental final, are coordinating with various sports authorities to prepare the venue for the May 18 match. This decision follows objections from their opponents, Sharjah FC, regarding the suitability of the initially proposed Jalan Besar Stadium.
