Offensive posts filled with misogynistic, racist, homophobic, and antisemitic slurs have emerged in a Discord group for Quebec medical school applicants, leading to widespread condemnation from Jewish medical groups and a criminal complaint filed by Jewish Clinicians Against Antisemitism against a suspected Dawson College student. Dawson College has initiated an investigation while the anonymous posts, which date back to February, included threats and derogatory remarks targeting various groups. Authorities, including B’nai Brith Canada and Dr. Lior Bibas, have called for swift action to prevent individuals with such views from entering the medical profession, emphasizing that hate has no place in medicine.
