A site in Tuam, Ireland, linked to a former mother-and-baby home run by nuns from 1925 to 1961 is set to undergo excavation after significant human remains were identified beneath its grassy surface. Local historian Catherine Corless emphasized the tragic discovery of numerous discarded babies and children at this location, which has remained largely untouched since the institution was demolished in 1972.
