A solstice remembrance

The grassroots organization Women’s Housing Equality and Enhancement League (WHEEL) held a gathering at sunset on the winter solstice to honor 283 individuals who passed away without shelter in King County last year. Attendees at the vigil repeated “we remember” after each name was read aloud, paying tribute to those who lost their lives. This event served as a poignant reminder of the ongoing issue of homelessness and the need for continued efforts to provide support and assistance to vulnerable populations.
