One Manchester band, Bionic and the Wires, is revolutionizing music by using mushrooms and plants as instruments, connecting them to sensors that convert their bioelectrical signals into music notes. Founded by Jon Ross and Andy Kidd in 2023, they aim to change perceptions of fungi and plants through their unique performances in the Boiler House community workshop.
