Major General Anna Sithole of Ekurhuleni SAPS welcomed the 10-year imprisonment sentence of rapist Tshepo Monamane for raping a seven-year-old girl. The incident occurred on July 8, 2021, leading to the case being registered at Devon SAPS and investigated by Detective Sergeant Lephoto. The detective’s efforts resulted in the successful trial of the accused before Nigel Magistrate’s Court, emphasizing the importance of diligence in gender-based violence cases.
