Meanwhile, City triumphed in Perth with a 2-1 win over Perth Glory, securing the premiership.

Rhianna Pollicina scored a remarkable goal to put City in the lead.

Shelby McMahon, the Young Matildas captain, sealed the victory with a late goal, marking her senior debut with a goal.

Despite a late scare from Perth Glory, City held on for the win.

Sydney FC missed out on the premiership after losing to both Canberra and Melbourne Victory.

Victory’s win propelled them from outside the top six to fourth place on the table.

Western Sydney narrowly missed out on the finals for just the second time in 12 seasons.

The first week of the finals will be held in Melbourne, with Western facing Newcastle Jets and Victory hosting Central Coast.

City and Sydney FC will have a two-week break before entering the finals in the last four.
