The storms are expected to hit the region between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m. with heavy precipitation, followed by damaging winds persisting throughout Saturday, with high wind warnings and advisories in effect. A drastic cooldown is anticipated by Sunday morning, dropping temperatures to the low 40s before rising again by the start of next week.
