Consumer sentiment declined sharply in March, with worries over inflation and a falling stock market impacting the University of Michigan’s latest survey, which showed a 10.5% drop from February. Expectations for the future fell by 15.3%, with concerns growing over President Trump’s tariffs and increasing uncertainty in economic policies. Despite these challenges, stocks remained positive, and the Federal Reserve is expected to maintain interest rates, although traders are pricing in rate cuts later in the year.
