Israel targets what it says was an Islamic Jihad command center in Damascus

The Israeli airstrike targeted an apartment building in a residential neighborhood in Damascus, Syria, believed to be a Palestinian militant “command center.” The strike injured a Syrian housekeeper in a neighboring apartment. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the attack was in response to threats against Israel. Israel’s military conducted the strike on the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s command center.
