Six EMPD Drug Unit officers were released on bail after being arrested for allegedly extorting and robbing a Congolese national. They were granted bail in Boksburg Magistrate’s Court with conditions to report weekly and not interfere with the investigation. The officers are scheduled to return to court on March 25 after being arrested by IPID for events that unfolded a year ago.
