The Los Angeles Rams are planning to release wide receiver Cooper Kupp if they are unable to find a trade partner by the start of the new NFL season on March 12. Kupp, who was named Super Bowl 56 MVP, expressed displeasure with the team’s decision to trade him after eight seasons with the club. The Rams would save $20 million towards their 2025 salary cap if they trade Kupp in a deal designated post-June 1, while cutting him this offseason would save $15 million in cash and $7.52 million against the salary cap.
