More than 30 casualties have been brought ashore after an oil tanker collided with a cargo vessel in the North Sea, causing a “massive fireball”. The condition of those injured remains unclear, with lifeguards and a coastguard helicopter responding to reports of people abandoning both ships. The incident involved the US-flagged tanker MV Stena Immaculate and the Portugese-flagged cargo vessel MV Solong in the Humber Estuary, with all crew from the tanker confirmed safe by the chief executive.
