Six climate activists, including Roger Hallam, co-founder of Just Stop Oil and Extinction Rebellion, have had their sentences reduced at the Court of Appeal. They were part of a group of 16 activists challenging their sentences for demonstrations such as climbing on gantries over the M25 and throwing soup over Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflowers. Hallam’s original five-year sentence was reduced to four years, while four others had their four-year jail terms reduced as well.
