Churchill’s grandson says Trump team ‘despises Europe’ and UK-US special relationship ‘not what it was’

Lord Soames of Fletching accused Donald Trump’s team of despising Europe, predicting a weakening of the ‘special relationship’ between the UK and the US. He criticized vice president JD Vance for disrespecting Britain’s war dead and erasing the experiences of British soldiers who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. President Trump, however, has paid tribute to Churchill by reinstating his bust in the Oval Office, despite the tensions within the administration regarding European allies.
