Third defendant in high-end brothel network case pleads guilty

A Torrance, Calif. man, James Lee, pleaded guilty to charges related to operating a high-end brothel network in Greater Boston and eastern Virginia, along with two co-conspirators. The network catered to wealthy clients and involved money laundering and fraudulent COVID-19 relief fund applications. Lee faces up to 20 years in prison for charges including conspiracy, money laundering, and wire fraud. His co-conspirators have also pleaded guilty and are awaiting sentencing.
