French fugitive Mohamed Amra, known as “The Fly,” was extradited from Romania to France after being arrested in Bucharest, ending a nine-month international manhunt following a deadly escape that killed two guards. Amra, who had dyed his hair red to avoid detection, was handed over to French authorities at an airport near Bucharest and taken to the main Paris courthouse, where he will face charges for burglary, murder, attempted murder, and escaping from custody. French President Emmanuel Macron praised the capture as a “formidable success,” and 25 people have been detained in multiple countries in connection to his escape.

Man arrested after ‘threatening people with axe in Wetherspoon pub’
A man in his 50s was arrested in Okehampton, Devon, after allegedly threatening people with an axe at the White Hart Hotel, a Wetherspoon pub, around 6pm on Sunday. Devon and Cornwall Police responded to the scene, and although the suspect fled before their arrival, a police helicopter was deployed to search for him.
