Iran rules out 'direct talks' with US on nuclear issue

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi rejected the idea of direct negotiations with the US over the country’s nuclear program amidst ongoing sanctions. The statement came after Washington imposed fresh sanctions on Iran, following President Trump’s “maximum pressure” policy. Araghchi emphasized that Iran will not engage in talks under pressure, threats, or sanctions, during a joint press conference with Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
