Remains of U.K. man missing for more than 2 years found in Georgia woods, FBI says

The remains of missing UK man Alex Hodgson Doughty were found in a wooded area near Kingsland, Georgia, nearly 2.5 years after he was reported missing in September 2022 while visiting Jacksonville, Florida. The cause of death remains unknown, but the FBI confirmed his identity and stated that no criminal charges were expected in connection with the case. FBI investigators specializing in tracking cellphone locations assisted in locating the remains, providing some closure to Doughty’s family.
