SLBC tunnel collapse: Family members of trapped Jharkhand workers leave for Telangana

On Monday, February 24, 2025, family members of four workers from Jharkhand were sent to the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) project site in Telangana, where a tunnel collapse trapped eight workers, including four from Gumla district. Despite efforts by the Indian Army, Navy, NDRF, and other agencies, no breakthrough has been made in the ongoing rescue operations due to challenging conditions inside the tunnel. The Chief Minister’s Office confirmed the continuous monitoring of the situation and the dispatch of family members to the site for support.
