Apple announced plans to open a new factory in Texas to produce servers for its AI personal assistant, with operations set to begin in 2026 as part of a $500 billion investment in the U.S. In addition to the new facility, Apple will hire around 20,000 new employees across the country, focusing on R&D, silicon engineering, software development, and AI and machine learning. CEO Tim Cook stated the company’s commitment to American innovation and its long-standing investments in the U.S. in a statement on Monday.
