USMNT legend Meola recovering from heart attack

Former US national team and MLS goalkeeper Tony Meola, 56, suffered a heart attack one day before his birthday, undergoing a procedure following the incident. Meola, who ran four miles days before the heart attack, emphasized the importance of regular check-ups. A veteran of three World Cups and MLS All-Star, Meola had a successful career with 101 national team appearances and 35 shutouts, as well as 62 clean sheets in 250 MLS starts.
