The DVLA has banned over 140,000 drivers from UK roads, with one in every 374 drivers currently disqualified, a 15% increase from last year. Banning reasons include accumulating 12 or more points on their license or being convicted of a driving offense, such as dangerous driving or drink driving. Northern regions such as Liverpool and Bradford have the highest proportion of disqualified drivers, with Liverpool having 3,154 offenders and Bradford with 2,159.
