Panama transferred one-third of migrants deported from the United States to a camp in Darien province, as they refused repatriation and await relocation to third countries. The migrants, primarily from Asian countries, are under police guard in a Panama City hotel, with one escaping briefly before being recaptured near the Panama-Costa Rica border. Some have agreed to return home while others will be held in a temporary facility near the Darien Gap until their relocation is determined.
