Motorists urged to drive safely as heavy rains increase road risks

MIWA, a part of the RMI, is advising motorists in Gauteng to be cautious due to heavy rains and flooding, which increase road risks like reduced visibility and hydroplaning. Drivers are urged to slow down, maintain distance, use headlights properly, and check tyres and wipers to stay safe. In case of flooding, stay calm, unfasten seatbelt, open window if possible, and prioritize personal safety over vehicle rescue, recommending preventive measures and regular maintenance at MIWA accredited workshops.
