Panama is detaining nearly 300 people from various countries deported under U.S. President Donald Trump in a hotel, not allowing them to leave while awaiting repatriation. Migrants from Asian countries such as Iran, India, and Afghanistan are being held in Panama as a stopover before being returned to their homelands. The Panamanian government, under an agreement with the U.S., is providing medical care and food to the deportees, while efforts are being made to facilitate their voluntary return or find a destination in third countries for those who do not agree to return.
