In response to illegal streaming services, Fact has served legal notices to 13 dodgy box operators, resulting in the shutdown of thousands of prohibited streams and the demise of services. The industry group is concerned about piracy networks being linked to organized crime and is focused on targeting individuals involved in providing illegal access to premium TV content. While owning dodgy boxes is not illegal, selling them pre-loaded with apps for illegal streaming violates copyright laws and is being targeted by Fact.
