David M. Webb, the founder of the “Webb-site” website, announced the closure of the site after 27 years of operation. A former investment banker with a fortune of over US$170 million, Webb’s watchdog operation in Asia was highly regarded. Despite his successful career, Webb chose to dedicate his efforts to running the influential website, which has now come to an end.
