Teacher-only days to continue after Seymour oversteps, Minister says

Education Minister Erica Stanford criticized Associate Education Minister David Seymour for overstepping his authority by announcing restrictions on teacher-only days to improve attendance rates. Stanford emphasized that it was her decision as the Minister of Education to determine the allocation of curriculum days and the necessity of teacher-only days during term time. Despite Seymour’s attempt to enforce stricter rules, Stanford confirmed that teacher-only days would continue during term-time, with four such days scheduled for the year in alignment with the new curriculum.
