The South Australian government has revealed plans to invest in a Greg Norman-designed upgrade to the North Adelaide golf course in order to continue hosting LIV Golf for at least another six years. The government has secured an agreement with organisers to host two more tournaments beyond next year, with the potential for the event to continue until at least 2031. The Premier stated that the new world-class championship golf course will unlock economic potential in North Adelaide. LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil confirmed that Adelaide will be the exclusive home of LIV Golf in Australia for the next six years. The government has not disclosed the cost of the redevelopment, but plans to release the information publicly. The upgraded course will be open for public use and is expected to bring significant economic gains to South Australia. Opposition leader Vincent Tarzia expressed bipartisan support for the event, ensuring its continuation if a Liberal government is elected in 2026.
