The REACH consortium, funded by Gavi and led by IRC, has administered 9 million vaccine doses in the Horn of Africa, reaching 96% of hard-to-reach communities in conflict-affected areas. Through innovative delivery models and partnerships with local organizations, REACH is addressing barriers to immunization caused by conflict, displacement, and climate-related crises. By transitioning services back to government ownership when possible, REACH is ensuring long-term sustainability and aiming to prevent outbreaks in under-immunized regions.
