The United States and United Kingdom declined to sign a declaration at the AI summit in Paris calling for open, inclusive, and ethical AI policies. The summit highlighted a divide in priorities, with Europe focusing on regulation, China on expansion, and the US on a hands-off approach. Sixty countries signed a pledge for trustworthy AI, while the US and UK cited concerns about innovation stifling regulations and national security challenges.
