Amnesty International details gruesome impact of gang violence on children in Haiti

Amnesty International reports that in Haiti, children are increasingly recruited by gangs to carry weapons, spy, and run errands, with up to 50% of gang members being children. The children are forced into gang involvement out of hunger or fear, facing threats of violence if they refuse. The situation is exacerbated by poverty, lack of healthcare, and limited police presence, with the government urged to provide support, education, and mental health services to address the crisis.
