In 2021, Marion Cotillard admitted during an interview on a French TV show that she felt she had missed the mark in her death scene in Christopher Nolan’s movie The Dark Knight Rises, attributing it to stress and not finding the right position. This confession followed previous comments addressing fan criticism of the scene, where she expressed frustration at being solely identified with that moment. The film, which also starred Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, was the third installment in Nolan’s Batman series.
