Rapid Faunal Survey is being conducted in Palamu Tiger Reserve to identify micro and small animals, with a joint team from PTR and Zoological Survey of India working on the project since August. The survey aims to assess animal diversity and compile a report for PTR officials by April. Additionally, PTR is vaccinating 2 lakh cattle near the reserve to prevent disease spread to wild animals, while confirming the presence of a tigress brings the total big cat count to six, prompting officials to issue a high alert.
