England manager Gareth Southgate emphasizes that he will not engage in discussions with any clubs regarding job opportunities before Euro 2024.
Since taking on the role in 2016, Southgate has become the fourth longest-serving England manager in history, with his contract set to expire in December.
Although there have been rumors linking Southgate to the Manchester United job, he maintains that he is solely focused on his current role and not thinking about his future in management.
“I’ve addressed this question every time I’ve been asked. My main focus is on the European Championship,” he stated during a press conference before England’s friendly against Brazil.
“If any discussions were to take place regarding a contract extension with England before the Euros, people would question why I signed a contract before having the chance to prove myself.”
“I have no intention of entertaining discussions with any other clubs at this time. Throughout my eight-year tenure, I have never engaged in talks with other clubs while holding a managerial position.

“From my perspective, there are two key points. Firstly, I am fully dedicated to my role as the England manager, with my primary goal being to lead the team to success in the European Championship. Secondly, Manchester United already has a manager in place, and it is disrespectful to speculate about replacing a current manager.
“As the president of the LMA (League Managers Association), I do not condone such behavior.”
