El Salvador agrees to accept US deportees of any nationality following meeting with Rubio

El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele has proposed to the U.S. to house illegal immigrants, including convicted criminals, in his country’s prison system for a fee, following a meeting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. While the offer includes violent American criminals, it is unlikely to happen due to legal constraints. The proposal, known as a “safe third country” agreement, could potentially involve Venezuelan gang members and MS-13 members.
