A vehicle carrying 14 passengers, mostly from Mehmara village, plunged into Haryana’s Bhakra Canal on Friday night after attending a wedding in Punjab’s Fazilka district. The death toll in the accident rose to 10 as another body was retrieved on Sunday, with two people still missing and feared dead. The incident occurred due to dense fog in Sardarewala village in Ratia, leading to poor visibility and the driver losing control of the vehicle, resulting in the tragic accident.
