Barclays IT glitch leaves family ‘homeless’ as bank outage derails house purchase

A family, including Civil Servant Paola Mereu, were left homeless after an IT glitch at Barclays prevented them from completing the purchase of their new home in West Sussex. Mrs. Mereu and her family had sold their house in Uxbridge and were waiting to move when the technical issues arose, leaving them without a place to live. Despite Barclays issuing an apology for the ongoing problems, the family remained stranded without a solution.
