Two children killed in hit-and-run in Essex cul-de-sac as police arrest man and woman

Two children tragically died in a crash in a residential cul-de-sac in Essex, with a boy and a girl losing their lives. The incident occurred in Walthams Place in Pitsea, near Basildon, on Saturday evening when a car failed to stop at the scene. A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and failing to stop, and are currently in custody.
