The call for her release came after the release of a documentary on her, which led to demands from former foreign secretaries for her freedom. Despite receiving no response when delivering a letter to the Myanmar embassy in London, Mr. Aris remains determined to fight for his mother’s release.

Takeaway fined after serving wrong meat in ostrich curry
Abdul Malik Ali, owner of Amalik Cafe Ltd, was fined after selling an ostrich curry dish containing sheep meat at his Jaipur Spice takeaway restaurant in Thirsk.
