In Ramallah, Palestine, after 60 Palestinian prisoners were released from Israeli detention, 47-year-old Hussain Nassar reunited with his daughters, Hedaya and Raghad, who had never touched or hugged him before due to his 22-year imprisonment. Among the prisoners released were women and children, with some exiled and others celebrated upon return, including former al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades commander Zakaria Zubeidi. While the homecoming was a cause for celebration, Governor Leila Abu Ghanam expressed mixed emotions amid ongoing Israeli military operations and a fragile Gaza ceasefire, emphasizing the importance of hope for peace in the conflict.
