New Edmonton Oilers defenceman Alec Regula was claimed off waivers from the Boston Bruins, where he was sent to their AHL farm team for rehab from knee surgery. Despite not playing for the Oilers yet, Regula may go to the AHL for a conditioning stint. Oilers have added other right-shot defencemen, making Regula’s future with the team uncertain.
