During the Lunar New Year migration in China, railway stations and airports are experiencing a surge in travelers heading home for the holidays, with an expected nine billion interprovincial trips in total. Train and air travel are anticipated to reach record levels, with 510 million train trips and 90 million air trips expected during the 40-day holiday period. The migration is driven by individuals returning to their hometowns for the Year of the Snake celebrations, with many factories already closed and workers heading home earlier.
