Italy to resume controversial Albania migrant transfer

Italy is once again preparing to transfer migrants rescued in the Mediterranean to Albania, despite legal challenges. The Italian navy ship Cassiopeia is patrolling the waters south of Lampedusa to take migrants on board for transfer to Italian centers in Albania. The right-wing government plans to resume processing asylum applications in Italian camps in Albania, pending a decision by the European Court of Justice.
