Donald Trump revokes abortion-access protections in the US and abroad

President Donald Trump took aim at abortion access in the US and overseas by revoking two executive orders signed by Joe Biden protecting abortion rights, reinstating the Mexico City Policy banning foreign NGOs from using US aid for abortion services, and rejoining the “Geneva Consensus Declaration” opposing abortion rights. Trump, backed by the anti-abortion movement, promised to protect their gains and undid Biden’s orders aimed at protecting women’s health data and mobile clinics. At the Washington rally, Trump vowed to stand for families and life in his second term, while members of the white supremacist group Patriot Front attended the event, sparking controversy.
