The superintendent of Uxbridge Public Schools, Michael Baldassarre, pleaded not guilty to charges of operating under the influence of liquor and speeding. Following his arrest, an interim superintendent, Karen Dwyer, was named during a School Committee meeting. Baldassarre was pulled over by Massachusetts State Police for allegedly driving 100 mph in a 65 mph zone and exhibiting signs of intoxication.
