The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has conducted a successful ground test of a scramjet combustor, showcasing its potential for use in hypersonic missiles. The Defence Research & Development Laboratory (DRDL) in Hyderabad developed the technology, marking a significant milestone in the development of next-generation hypersonic weapons. The test demonstrated successful ignition, stable combustion, and the ability of hypersonic missiles to travel at speeds greater than Mach 5, delivering rapid and high-impact strikes.
