Police in New York City have arrested Sharief Bodden, 29, in connection with the beating death of pioneering rock musician Peter Forrest, 64, known as P. Fluid from the band 24/7 Spyz. The Black-led rock group was part of a wave of bands in the 1980s, with Forrest remembered as a dynamic frontman and essential figure in the Black Rock Coalition. Forrest was found beaten inside his ambulette bus and pronounced dead at the scene, leading to Bodden facing murder and manslaughter charges.
